I’m Makayla — a Vancouver-based bridal makeup artist and hairstylist specializing in elevated, timeless beauty.

As a destination hair and makeup artist, I provide a seamless, high-end experience wherever your celebration takes you — whether in Vancouver, across Canada, or abroad. From the moment I arrive, my focus is on creating a calm, welcoming environment so you can feel relaxed, confident, and fully present.

Weekends from May through September are typically reserved for weddings, but I welcome inquiries for all professional hair and makeup needs.

Formally trained in Beauty and SFX Makeup at John Casablancas Institute, my experience spans bridal, editorial, fashion, and television. My work has been featured in multiple publications and showcased on the runway at Vancouver Fashion Week, and I’ve collaborated with leading brands including Charlotte Tilbury and The Ordinary.

With a strong foundation in skincare and advanced technique, I ensure every look is created with precision and designed for long-lasting wear.

Makayla styled my hair on my wedding day and I could not have been happier! After the hair trial, Makayla followed up promptly to see if I had wanted any changes for the day of the wedding. Together, we worked towards a beautiful half-up half-down look with uniform curls, some volume, and face framing pieces. After a lot of wind, heat, and action (and absolutely no touch-ups), the hair stayed fairly intact. I cannot recommend Makayla enough.
