Wonderful resort! We are camping here for a week and so far have done a full day guided fishing tour. By 3:00 we had caught our limited of salmon. We were packed a filling lunch with snacks and they included the Moucha Bay lunch bag and water bottle. We enjoyed a tasty dinner at the lodge. Every employee we talk to is extremely friendly and helpful. Chris our fishing guide as fantastic. The resort os very clean and camp spot 25 is large and private. The road here was pretty good! Absolutely recommend!
Moutcha Bay is surrounded by snow capped mountains and in front of a beautiful bay leading to inlets and islands. The resort itself is well run, with a central lodge serving great food, and two sizes of luxury yurts, cabins, and campground spots for those looking for something cheaper. The staff are kind and attentive, even checking on us in the camping area. There are caves and forests to explore, but for us and most the draw is the water—kayaking, fishing, boating ( rental boats available). If you go in a kayak out be sure and start early, by mid-afternoon the wind waves will carry you back to the resort. Salmon run deeper toward the open ocean in June-July, but apparently run into the bay with its hatchery next door later in summer. We’ll be back, as often as we can.
We stayed in a mini yurt for the first 2 nights. It was amazing. The view was to die for. Well appointed with a really comfy king bed and pillows. We could lie on the bed and look out across the water, divine!
