Peake made our wedding reception buffet dinner for 70 memorable and delicious! After a previous caterer company had to cancel on us with only a few months’ notice, Amanda at Peake was able to swoop in and take over the planning and execution, to our great relief! She worked with us to create a comparable menu that fit with our budget. Amanda was very easy to work with and responsive to many questions and changes we had leading up to the wedding! Thank you to Amanda and the team for making the day itself so seamless and guests raved about the excellent food afterwards. We had Peake Catering for our wedding, as our venue, Brockhouse, had Peake as the exclusive caterer. We attended their tasting in advance of our wedding, and thought the canapes and dishes were great, but what was even better was that on our actual wedding day, the food tasted even better somehow! We chose their plated menu, and our guests raved about their dinner choices (and we agree the sablefish is the #1 main dish, highly recommend to have as an option)! We chose the starter salad, and appreciated that the desserts had a buffet option for guests, and they were delicious. Their canapés were also delicious and there was a good variety to choose from. They also have an extensive list of choices for wine and drinks, which we appreciated, as we chose to have an open bar, and chose the bottles of red, white, and sparkling to have. We picked Peake of Catering for our wedding because they are really good with food allergies and we needed a caterer that would be able to accommodate all the various food allergies and dietary restrictions that myself, my family, and our guests all have. Needless to say, they knocked it out of the park! The food was DELICIOUS and their BBQ buffet menu was diverse enough that we were easily able to accommodate every single food allergy and dietary restriction. Our menu tasting before the wedding was a super fun experience and a memory that I will cherish always. It was a great opportunity to meet with and speak to Chef Michael Chan. And he was super gracious and accommodating of the small changes we requested. Our main point of contact, Natalia Croitor, was super responsive, organized, and professional. She was always available to answer questions and assist when needed. Especially in the days leading up to the wedding when we realized that we needed the linens on site for decorating earlier than the scheduled delivery window allowed. Natalia contacted Pedersen's Event Rentals and got us permission to pick up the linens 2 days early, which was a HUGE help in ensuring that all the decorations were set up in time before the guests arrived! Valerie Hulley and the rest of the staff on site were super kind and attentive to us throughout the entire wedding reception. They offered to carry our plates for us back to our table. They provided wine and water service at our table. And they remembered which canapes and desserts were our favourite and set them aside for us! We really appreciated their desire to go above and beyond for our event!!! Every guest we have spoken to since the wedding has told us that they loved the food, and my husband and I have been enjoying the leftovers all week!
